Ibiza was a Phoenician-Punic
settlement during ancient times that left an interesting legacy from different
cultures such as Greeks, Punics, Romans and
Moslems within its Renaissance
walls.
The UNESCO declared Ibiza’s old quarter, within the historic monumental
walls of Dalt
Vila, World heritage in 1999.
Ibiza Town offers a boiling
nightlife with numerous
bars, pubs,
discotheques and clubs and especially the
calle Barcelona presents them door to door.
Just follow the crowd of tourists in the streets and you will automatically end
up in the most ’en vogue’ local venues of the moment.
Ibiza’s pretty port area,
La Marina, is filled with
terraces and
restaurants and small
stands where souvenirs are sold until late at night in
the summer season. |
